Obama and the Supreme Court

Faith and Freedom is doing everything humanly possible to get every person of faith and conservative out to vote in this election. There are people of nearly all faiths and many who have no faith that visit and read this web site and our columns daily.

The Catholic Church has made a short video for their church members on the importance of voting. A Catholic reader sent it to our office. While there is some reference to the Catholic Church, it is generally generic and to the point. It places the pro-life message as the dominant issue of this election. We have put this video on our home page. It is inspiring.

Obama and the Supreme Court

Curt Levey, director of the Committee for Justice, says given Obama's opposition to the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, the nations highest court under an Obama administration would likely reverse the federal ban on partial birth abortion.

Levey, whose group monitors judicial activities and nominations, says two of the top ten priorities of an Obama Supreme Court would be to find that there is a constitutional right to tax-payer funded abortions and to order all 50 states to "bless" homosexual "marriages".

Levey says this will certainly happen if Obama is elected because three of the sitting Justices are ready to retire. They will give him their support in these matters, and then, I believe they will retire in time for him to replace them with younger liberal Justices during his first term. And Congress, as it is presently configured, will give nearly anything he may ask for. There is a liberal majority.

Levey's organization has compiled a, "Top Ten Things To Expect From An Obama Supreme Court."

Levey believes abortion tops Obama's Court agenda, and so do I.

After all, Obama is deeply indebted to not only the Chicago political machine that created him, but to the abortion industry that has worked so hard for him and to whom he has promised the world. NARAL, Planned Parenthood, EMILY'S LIST and others will collect on his promises.

Levey's top ten list is actually based on an extensive analytical article written by Stuart Taylor for National Review. I have linked both.

Every person of faith and conservative must vote this election. We are doing everything humanly possible to get everyone to vote. It is absolutely imperative that we show up for this election. Your help and support is much appreciated.

Who Is Barack Obama?

Last Summer, Mort Kondracke, editor of Roll Call Magazine and a Democrat, was asking about the authenticity of Barack Obama. He said, "Is this guy the real deal, or an eloquent phoney?" (Read Article).

Unfortunately more should be asking the same questions.

Cathleen Falsani, Chicago Sun-Times religion columnist, has also been getting acquainted with Barack Obama for the last couple of years. Recently she felt it would be helpful to publish her initial interview with Obama back in 2004. The interview focuses on his faith.

He talks about the faith, or lack of faith of his mother, father and grandparents. He speaks of Rev. Wright and Father Michael Pfleger as "dear friends" and people he "interacts with closely."

He explains that he sees the Constitution as resolved to prevent, "Disruptive strains of fundamentalism from taking root in this country."

Perhaps most telling is his lengthy and wordy explanation of who he thinks Jesus is and his disagreement with the core Christian belief that Jesus is the only way to God. This subject comes up twice in the interview.

I have linked the text of this interview. If you care about these things, you must read this. (Read article).

Day before yesterday, a lawyer friend of mine sent me a short list of comments from Obama's book, "Dreams of my Father." In his own words, we get a better look at who this man may be.

The following is a list of statements Obama made in the book, "Dreams of my Father."

"I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to
suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."

"I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity
against my mother's race."

"There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of
himself, maybe. And white."

"It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your
loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."

"I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my
own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd
packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and
Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."

"I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly
direction."

I sincerely hope and pray that somehow America will have "an eye to see and an ear to hear" the truth, before we cast a direction that will impact our country for decades into the future.

ACORN Raided. Muslims Register Voters For Obama

Personal Response on Last Night's Presidential Debate:

First, I thought Tom Brokaw, the moderator of the debate last night, was the worst so far. While I didn't think he showed favoritism, I thought the questions he chose cheated both candidates. I think he thought it was about him.

Secondly, some from our readership were more than a little critical of our comments about Obama's ties to William Ayers, the terrorist. While Obama may have been eight-years-old when Ayers and his group were bombing America, he was all grown up in 2001 when Ayers stood on the American flag in a Chicago alley and told the press that the Weather Underground had, "Not done enough." When that picture was taken, Ayers and Obama were serving together on the board of the Woods Fund. They were involved in a number of projects together on behalf of the Fund. In 1995, he launched his political career in Ayers living room. Obama is misleading the public on this subject. (See story and photo).

ACORN Raided. Muslims Register Voters For Obama

Yesterday morning I published a story about ACORN and the threat they pose for voter fraud. I pointed out that Obama has had a long term relationship with this organization as their legal counsel and as a "how to" seminar teacher for the organization. (Yesterday's blog).

While our blog was going out to our thousands of subscribers, authorities were raiding ACORN offices in Nevada.

You won't believe what they have found so far.

We have also learned that a group called "Muslim Americans for Obama" (MAFO) is holding Obama rallys under the guise of voter registration. They say they are "non-partisan," but their website describes their mission as, "To provide a vehicle for Muslim-American supporters of Barack Obama to organize and mobilize our fellow citizens to get out the vote to elect Barack Obama the next President of the United States."

MAFO is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization prohibited by law from directly intervening for or against a political candidate.

Is the government looking into the matter?

First, the ACORN raid in Nevada: Fox News was reporting yesterday that, "Nevada state authorities seized records and computers Tuesday from the Las Vegas office of an organization that tries to get low-income people registered to vote, after fielding complaints of voter fraud."

Bob Walsh, spokesman for the Nevada Secretary of State's office told Fox News that the raid was prompted by ongoing complaints about "erroneous" registration information "being submitted by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN."

Secretary of State, Ross Miller, said the fraudulent registrations included forms for the Dallas Cowboy's football team, including Tony Romo and Terrell Owens.

Fox said in the story that, "In 2006, ACORN also committed what Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed called the 'Worst case of election fraud' in the state's history."

In this case ACORN had submitted just over 1,800 new voter registrations. All but 6 of the 1,800 were fake. And they and Obama have been doing this for a long time. You do the math.

Obama has been their legal counsel and their "how to" seminar teacher. It's a matter of record.

Secondly, a Muslim group is working illegally, according to IRS Code, in supporting Obama. Their organization is a 501(c)3 which, under IRS rules, can not advocate or intervene for or against a political candidate. (Read Article).

This is why Faith and Freedom is an organization of three related but separate organizations-- a 501(c)3, a 501(c)4, and a Political Action Committee (PAC). We are in full compliance with the IRS code, according to the IRS.

The Muslim group is raising tax deductible donations to elect a specific candidate. They are holding what they call "Obama voter registration and get out the vote drives" in mosques in Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Virginia and Ohio.

The groups web site also says, "Although there is only a short period of time until the election...there is much work to be done for supporters of Barack Obama's candidacy."

I am not suggesting that Obama is involved in this. He doesn't need to be. Do you remember a presidential campaign that had Muslims organized for a candidate?

I believe the Muslims have every right to support their candidate. I don't believe they should be left unchecked to disregard the law with out consequence.

Robert Spencer, director of JIHAD WATCH, says the Muslim group is skirting the law. Spencer says he doubts anything will be done about the violations because of political correctness.

He said if some group was called "Christians for McCain" and was operating as a 501(c)3, it would be all over the media and would be seen as a scandal, yet he doubts because of who it is, nothing will be done.

I wish Obama's Muslims would be held to the same standards to which we and others are held.

We are moving ever closer to making a decision that will have impact on our culture for decades to come. I hope and pray we do not elect a President that has no leadership experience, lacks a basic understanding of what it has taken to protect the freedoms we enjoy in America and is bankrupt on the moral issues of life, marriage and family and will lead the country away from, not toward those principles that have made America great.

ACORN: More Concerns About Obama and His Relationships

John Fund, a columnist for the Wall Street Journal, says he has serious concerns about the left-wing organization ACORN--Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, because it has received tax money and also has close---very close ties to Barack Obama.

ACORN is involved in voter registration, among other things, and has been involved in scandals in about a half dozen states and have had people convicted in St. Louis, Kansas City and Seattle.

Obama has had a serious long-term relationship with ACORN, serving as its attorney and as a leader for their leadership training seminars, teaching "how to" classes.

Fund says ACORN, according to former employees, "Simply want to register as many people as possible---and they don't particularly care if they really exist or not."

He says, "Obama actually litigated on their behalf in several election law cases in which he was trying to water down laws designed to prevent voter fraud."

But there's more.

Now Obama is endorsed by their political action arm. Fund says, "He spoke last year at their annual convention and has never criticized their methods, never criticized the spreading scandals that surround them, both in financial terms and in terms of violating the voting laws."

He points out that this relationship, "Creates the potential for voter fraud, because in most states, you don't even have to show ID to vote, and there is precious little in our honor system of voting."

Obama has trained ACORN's people and in turn they work for him in campaigns.

God help us.

John Fund has written a new book titled "Stealing Elections: How Vote Fraud Threatens Democracy". See book in the FFN Bookstore by clicking here.

Washington State has had some experience in election theft.

Was Palin's Comments About Obama's Friends Fair?

Sarah Palin set off a frenzy this weekend. The press has once again been called to active service and been deployed to cover for Obama.

She said, "Our opponent...is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

She also said, "This is not a man who sees America as a force for good in this world. We see an America of exceptionalism." (Read Article). She was of course, making reference to William Ayers and his wife. Obama has repeatedly denied that he has a relationship with the two who bombed buildings and people in the 60's with the Weather Underground, a terrorist organization they founded, but there are many who feel he has not been forthcoming with the nature and depth of his relationship with the Ayers, Tony Rezco, a convicted felon, Rev. Wright and others.

Obama's political career was launched in the Ayer's living room and as lately as 2001, Ayers told the New York Times that they should have done more bombing.

And today we are finding that Obama may be illegally receiving tens of millions of dollars from foreign contributors.

The press has been working overtime, almost above their pay grade, to cover for Obama. But why don't they care about this man's apparent lack of transparency about such things?

Was Palin's comments fair? Should America know about these and other relationships, or should they merely be swept under the proverbial rug for the "greater good"?

The Associated Press said yesterday, "Whether intended or not by the McCain campaign, portraying Obama as 'not like us' is another potential appeal to racism." Their story is titled "Palin's Words May Backfire On McCain." I'm sure they hope that will be the case.

Over the same weekend, however, Obama released a television ad that calls McCain, "erratic in a crises." (See Ad). This is a direct attack on his age.

We have learned from this that age discrimination is okay, but racism is not--- according to the press---on this matter.

There has been a pattern with Obama, that is becoming more and more evident. When questioned about potentially harmful issues such as relationships with untoward individuals, he initially denies the relationship (except with that of Rev. Wright), then when more information comes out, he redefines the relationship, then if even more is revealed, he says, "I never knew him" or in Obamaspeak, "He is not the person I knew or I sure didn't know that about him, he sure fooled me. I am really disappointed in him."

In the case of Rev. Wright, Obama said he never heard any of the racial comments against whites or the anti-American sermons. No one sits in a church for twenty years with out knowing full well where the pastor is coming from, yet the press and Obama has led many in America to believe that that was true in the case of the Obamas'.

It is not only Sarah Palin that is beginning to express concern but surprisingly, there are now some in the press, as well, that are taking a second look at this pattern.

Steve Chapman, a Chicago Tribune columnist and member of the paper's editorial board, said Sunday that the relationship that Obama was so disingenuously trying to play down does matter. (Read Article).

He said, "It's hard to imagine he [an Obama supporting columnist] would be so indulgent if we learned that John McCain had a long association with a former Klansman who used to terrorize African-Americans. Obama's conduct exposes a moral blind spot about these one-time terrorists who get a pass because they a) fall on the left end of the spectrum and b) haven't planted any bombs lately."

He says, "You can tell a lot about someone from his choice of friends. What this friendship reveals is that when it comes to practicing moral hygiene, Obama has work to do and no interest in doing it."

We too, have much work to do. I, however, am very interested in doing it and I believe you are as well.

I do not want my children and grandchildren to live in Obama's America.
